At the end of the 19th Century and well into the mid 20th Century thousands of people left the "Old World"  and immigrated to the "New World" in hope of a better life. Many of the immigrants entered the USA through Ellis Island. Here follows a list of Jewish immigrants that immigrated from Shereshov and entered the USA through Ellis Island. This list was compiled with the help of Steve Morse's search engine of the Ellis Island database.  (stevemorse.org/ellis).

Reverse psychology has been employed. The are different spellings that the immigrant clerk and the records transcriber used to spell Shereshov. So if you have found the name you are looking for, then most likely they are from Shereshov . (But not all of the derivative spellings of Shereshov are the same place in which you are interested.)
